Description
With the installation of this app, you your Jira users will be able to Manage manage until 4 Description Templates custom description templates in your Jira Cloud instance. Very useful for repetitive tasks creation.
The user description templates are stored and processed in browser cookies inside the Browser. Just install and ready to use it. Plug & Play.
IMPORTANT NEWS!! Now with Comment Templates too!
NOTE: The issue will be created always in full screen.Since 2023 the Jira users can configure Description Templates by Project and IssueTypes with no Jira Admin intervention!!
And soon they will be able to configure Comment Templates!

Install addon
Follow the classic way to install using the Find new apps, as shown below
in your Jira instance (by your Jira Admin)
General Configuration
No General Configuration is needed. Just use it 😃 plug’n’play!
Usage
Just create a new issue and as shown in following GIF:
The Jira Admin can go to "Manage Apps" → "Global configuration: Description Templates"
And enable/disable the plugin features (Templates by project & Issuetype, and toolbars in description and comment fields in Issues)
Usage
Create a new issue with the usual standard button of Jira “Create” (or from board backlogs with description mandatory).
a specific text is added and we can use it.
Comment Template available
After description, it’s now available 4 different template for comments
Subtasks
This addon is available with subtasks, as described in following GIF
NOTE: Exist a problem in some Jira versions that when you open “Create a Sub-task” in a new window or tab in the browser, the WYSWYG editor /visual editor in Jira is disappears. We hope Atlassian can solve it in the new versions of Jira Server.

Since January 2023, we have released a new powerful feature! Templates by Project with no Jira Admin intervention!!
Just create a ticket in your project with summary “TEMPLATE:IssueTypeName”, ex: “TEMPLATE:Bug” and the system will use the description of the ticket for the next created Bugs. You can also define a “TEMPLATE:Default” summary to apply to the rest of IssueTypes.
